FAQ
Use this page when the question is narrow and the chart is already mostly making sense. If the real problem is that you no longer know which slots are legal, weighted, or trustworthy, go back to Quick Start, MTF and Repainting, or Limitations and Trust Boundaries. Short answers are useful. They are not a substitute for a clean mental model.
Do I need all 10 slots?
No.
The first three slots are the shipped baseline. The other seven are expansion space. Add more only when you can give them a specific job.
Does this repaint?
The safest answer is: timing posture is per-slot.
If a slot uses On Bar Close?, it uses settled requested-context values for that slot. If it does not, that slot can move while the requested bar is still forming. One stack can mix both.
Why did the script fail the moment I added it?
Most likely because one enabled slot is below the chart timeframe.
Check the active slot timeframes first. The shipped 5 / 15 / 60 ladder is not valid unchanged on every chart timeframe.
Does the blended pair mean all active slots agree?
No.
The blended pair is a weighted summary of participating slots. Full-stack alignment is a different calculation.
Why did the blended pair disappear?
Usually because all enabled blend contributors now have weight 0, or because the active weighted slots are not producing usable values on the current chart.
Why is a hidden slot still affecting alerts or alignment?
Because hide changes visibility only.
If the slot stays enabled, it can still affect slot logic. If it also has positive weight, it can still affect the blend.
What does Optional Ticker: really add?
It lets one slot read another symbol and place that result into the shared centered pane.
That adds context. It does not automatically add confirmation, causality, or lead-lag proof.
Which MA family should I start with?
Start simple.
SMA, EMA, or RMA are usually better first choices than wandering immediately into the full menu. The goal is to notice what changed, not to collect the most exotic setting.
Do the advanced parameters matter all the time?
No.
Some advanced controls matter only for the MA families that actually use them. If the selected family ignores a control, moving that control does not improve the output.
Is +70 / -70 the same thing as raw RSI 70 / 30?
No.
Those are stretch markers on this tool's centered scale. They can still be useful, but they are not a direct carryover of textbook raw RSI threshold logic.
Is master smoothing safer?
Not by itself.
Master smoothing can make the blended pair calmer. It can also make it later. Treat it as a tradeoff, not as an upgrade in truth.
Can I use a zero-weight slot as a monitoring slot?
Yes.
That is one of the cleaner ways to keep a slot visible or alertable without letting it shape the blended summary. Just remember that zero weight does not disable the slot everywhere else.
Should I start with confirmed or live-forming mode?
Start with confirmed mode.
That gives you a steadier baseline and a cleaner comparison with history. Test live-forming mode after you already understand what the confirmed version is doing.
Where should I go after this page?
- Quick Start if you need a clean first baseline
- MTF and Repainting if timing is the real question
- For the Geeks if you want the deeper mental model behind the scale and summary logic
