Troubleshooting
Use this page when the indicator is on the chart, but the result is not matching what you expected.
Start with the symptom, then check the likely cause. Most problems with Axiom MA Pro come from a small number of setup and interpretation habits.
If you are overloaded, check issues in this order:
- timeframe validity
- which slots are enabled or hidden
- which slots are influencing the blend
- whether the slot you care about is confirmed or live-forming
Symptom: I get a timeframe runtime error
Likely cause
At least one enabled slot is using a TimeFrame: lower than the chart timeframe.
Fix
- Open the settings panel.
- Check every enabled slot.
- Raise any conflicting
TimeFrame:value, or disable that slot. - Confirm the chart now renders only legal slot timeframes.
Prevention
Check chart timeframe before trusting the default 5 / 15 / 60 stack.
Symptom: I only see one line, or some expected lines are missing
Likely cause
One of these is usually true:
- the slot is disabled
Hide MA XX Plotis turned on- the blend is disabled or hidden
- extra slots were never enabled in the first place
Fix
Check Enable MA XX, Hide MA XX Plot, Enable Blended MA, and Hide Blended MA Plot before assuming the script stopped calculating. Also check whether you expected extra slots to exist even though they were never enabled.
Symptom: The blended line is not reacting to one of my active slots
Likely cause
That slot's Blended Weight: is 0.
Fix
Raise the weight above 0 if you want that slot included in the blended calculation.
Important note
A zero-weight slot can still plot, change trend state, support alerts, and count toward full alignment. It is excluded from blend math, not removed from the indicator.
Symptom: The blended line says up, but the chart does not feel fully aligned
Likely cause
Blend state is a weighted vote, not the same thing as full-stack agreement.
Fix
Check whether:
- one or two heavier slots are dominating the vote
- one or more enabled slots are still pointing the other way
- you actually meant to watch
All MA Slots Uptrend/Downtrendrather than blend state
Symptom: Another symbol's line looks strangely close to my chart price
Likely cause
That is the intended remapping behavior for Optional Ticker:. The indicator remaps the alternate symbol's MA into the chart symbol's price region so you can compare structure in one workspace.
Fix
Do not read that line as raw price equivalence. Compare it to the source market on a separate chart if the relationship matters enough to influence decisions.
Symptom: The slot changed live, but history looks calmer
Likely cause
On Bar Close? is off for that slot, so the slot is reading a still-forming higher-timeframe bar.
Fix
Turn On Bar Close? back on if you want a more stable confirmed read, or keep it off and treat that slot as early context rather than finished information.
Verification step
Watch the same slot through one unfinished higher-timeframe candle. If the behavior still surprises you, do not build alerts or workflow rules around it yet.
Symptom: My slot never seems to turn up
Likely cause
Trend Length: may be set to 0 or below on that slot.
Fix
Raise Trend Length: above 0, then check the slot again.
Why this matters
With Trend Length: at 0 or below, the slot can still draw a line, but it will not report an up-state the way most readers expect.
Symptom: My alert did not fire until the bar closed
Likely cause
That is how the script is built. Alert conditions are gated by the chart bar closing.
Fix
Adjust your expectation rather than searching for a broken setting. If the workflow depends on intrabar notification, this script's alert posture may not match that use case cleanly.
Important note
Chart-bar-close timing does not mean the underlying slot was confirmed in the higher-timeframe sense. If On Bar Close? is off, the slot can still be built from live-forming higher-timeframe data.
Symptom: I turned on more slots and the chart got harder to use
Likely cause
You may have added flexibility faster than you added purpose.
Fix
- Go back to a 2-slot or 3-slot stack.
- Give each active slot a clear role.
- Reintroduce extra slots one at a time.
- Use zero-weight or hidden slots for testing before you let them shape the blend.
Prevention
Do not add a new slot until you can say what question the current stack still fails to answer.
Symptom: I do not know which MA type to choose
Likely cause
You are at the point where variety feels like pressure.
Fix
Start with one familiar MA type across the whole first stack. Only change type when you have a specific question you are trying to answer, not when you are hoping the menu will solve indecision for you.
